We are the proud managers and caretakers of a serene cemetery, situated behind the church and surrounded by the rolling hills.
Some of the first convicts and early settlers to Turners Marsh are buried in the cemetery, including the Casboult's and the Beeson's, whose farmland is today named Beeson’s Hill. Australian Army veterans also lay at rest, along with a Memorial Garden, and a separate Children's Garden for unmarked infant graves.
In honour of the families and individuals that are buried in the Turners Marsh Cemetery, we have been given the privilige to share their stories and continue their legacies. We are in the process of gathering more history about the people in the cemetery and would love to hear from anyone with information.
We have created a memorial garden in the main cemetery for the placement of memorial plaques that can be ordered by anyone (including descendants) wishing to have a memorial within the cemetery. We offer the plaque site / installation for $150. Size specifications and postage details will be provided upon request.
